Da Paolo Restaurant & Bar (at Dempsey) puts two great things together 🍕🍦

I went to Da Paolo Dempsey Restaurant & Bar for dinner with my family and it was so yummy! 🍕🍦

To start, we all shared the hummus as an appetizer. The hummus itself was good, but I didn't really like the bread they gave us for dipping. It was a bit hard and not as fresh as I would have liked.

Next, I had a Pizza Rucola & Parma. That means it has little baby rocket lettuce, prosciutto, and parmesan cheese. My brother had a Margarita Pizza from the kid's menu. I don't usually order from the kid's menu, but he does. One of the best things about the restaurant is that they will sometimes put mickey mouse ears 🐭 made of extra crust on my brothers' pizza - but sadly they didn't make the mouse ears this time. My dad had carbonara pasta (sorry for not getting a picture of his food), and my mum had a burrata salad with pesto.

The pizza was amazing, except I think they put too much rocket salad on it. But what I really liked is that the crust is crunchy, fluffy, and had those black spots that show it was really nicely cooked 🍕🔥. They cook the pizza in a wood-fired pizza oven, which made it extra delicious. I took a picture so you can see how huge the oven is and you can see the flames inside.

It was really cool to watch the pizzas cooking and it made the restaurant feel really authentic.

The pizzas are big so I could only eat about half of mine, but my dad had a few slices too and he said it was delicious. My brothers' pizza was a lot smaller since it was from the kids' menu so he finished the whole thing.

After the pizza, my brother and I each had ice cream for dessert. I had a Ricotta and Carmelized Fig Gelato, and my brother had the Rock Melon Sorbet. They were both in waffle cones which made them extra nice and delicious 🍦🍦. I think this might be the best ice cream in Singapore.

I asked my parents what they thought of the restaurant and they said that the food is good, but it's a little expensive and they wish there were a bit more variety of healthy or less heavy foods on the menu.
