Hi there! It's me again and I just had the yummiest Greek food at Bakalaki. Let me tell you all about it! 🇬🇷😋
The first thing to know is that the restaurant is HUGE and it's so beautiful. The decorations are really simple but pretty, and there's a lot of natural light during the day which makes it feel so nice and airy ☀️🪟
For food, we shared almost everything which is a fun way to eat. We started with 3 dips, Smokey Eggplant 🍆, tzatziki 🥒 and Spicy Feta dip 🌶️. The dips came with some nice warm pitas that were so good I wanted to eat them all by themselves. My favorite one was the smokey eggplant dip. I didn't think I would love it because the color isn't great, but really it was delicious. The tzatziki also tasted really fresh and nice. Like cucumber. We actually ate the Tzatziki as a sauce with almost everything else we had.

I also tried the spicy Feta Dip 🌶️. It was orange and I was a little nervous about tasting it because I don't usually like spicy things very much. But when I did taste it, it was OK 👌
After the dips, we shared a greek salad 🥗 and meatballs. The meatballs were a bit dry, but with the tzatziki and some lemon juice, I really liked them. I especially liked squeezing the lemons 🍋. We didn't eat all of the meatballs so we brought them home and they were still delicious.

The greek salad tasted perfect and it was delicious. It tasted sort of watery which doesn't sound great, but it really was. I think because that made it taste fresh. My only problem with it was that there was a bit too much onion for me. But I really liked the olives in it 🫒 and the feta.
After that, for a main course, I shared the beef and lamb kebab 🍢 with my brother. It was really big, so even sharing it we couldn't finish it all. I really liked it, especially with the tzatziki. The meat had a really nice combination of herbs on it. In some places, there was too much herb so I scraped it off, but overall it was delicious. They served the meat on top of more pitas so all the juices went into the bread and it was so delicious 🤤. It also came with fries 🍟 and they were ok. I've had better. The truth is I always love fries.

At the end of the meal with had Baklava for dessert. It was really big and a bit messy, but it was good for all of us to share. It had a nice honey flavor with cinnamon and cloves and tasted a little bit naughty 😈. I really liked it and wanted more at the end.

I would recommend this restaurant to parents with kids. It is very nice inside with nice people working there and lots of delicious things on the menu that adults and kids can share. If you go there, I would definitely recommend ordering the eggplant dip and the baklava. Those were my two favorite things 🤗
Enjoy.
My summary:
Huge menu where everything is easy to share
The food is fun to eat with lots of bread and dips so you can eat with your hands.
Pretty room with lots of light.
Very fast so good when you are really hungry
Kid score:

Parent summary (written by my father):
Great sharing menu
Best for larger parties so you can try a broader range of items
Lots of ways to get kids to eat vegetables and a diversity of foods, but in formats that everyone will not just enjoy but really love
If you order a broad range of things, it can get to be a lot of food and can get to be expensive, so as for half orders on dips and things like that
Parent score:

For a fun lunch with the whole family or more, Bakalaki makes sharing foods fun and delicious.
