Pineapples, Popcorn & Cheesecake...Oh My! Reviewing Victoria's Virtuous Pie

It's time to review another restaurant.

We were traveling for New Years and went to Victoria, British Colombia where we tried the Vegan Pizza restaurant called Virtuous Pie. My parents didn't tell me it was Vegan until after we left, but trust me, the food was amazing. We had a Hawaiian Sunshine Pizza - that didn't have ham but did have all the bbq and smoky goodness it should have. We had Artichoke and Cheese Dip - not sure how they made the cheese, Greek Potato Salad, a Caramel Popcorn flavored Ice Cream Sandwich, and some Raspberry Cheesecake Ice Cream too. Also the drinks were delicious.

Overall, I would say this is a great place for both kids and parents. Let me tell you more about what I had.

Bowl of Olives 🫒:

We started with a bowl of olives. They were warmed up which was weird, but still delicious. There were big green ones, black ones, and they’re all shiny and soaked in this herby oil that smells like a fancy restaurant.

Hawaiian Sunshine Pizza

Hawaiian Sunshine Pizza 🍕:

Oh. My. Gosh. Guys, the picture is not good enough ... the pizza I got was beautiful! It was totally covered in cheese with a bunch of pineapple, which I love on a pizza, and a BBQ thing that made it taste all sweet and yummy. There were also nice sweet onions which were a bit crunchy and not bitter! But again, the drizzle of barbecue flavor in a zig-zag was cool and delicious. The crust was nice and crispy, and while it was delicious, I like it a little softer but still was great. It one of the best pizza's ever. #PizzaLove #Foodie 😍🍕

Greek Potato Salad:

We had a greek potato salad on the table, and while the potatoes are hidden under the salad they were so yummy. It was like a secret a potato salad with a hidden treasure of all these soft potato pieces underneath a mountain of green leaves. And there’s this tangy, creamy dressing all over it. Plus, there’s this white cheese that’s all crumbly – I think it’s feta – and it’s like a flavor explosion in your mouth!

Popcorn and Salted Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich

My brother had this one, but I got a bit and it was delicious. And it was huge. So big that he was actually willing to share. It's a popcorn and salted caramel ice cream sandwich! They make the ice cream sandwiches for you, so you pick the ice cream flavor and the cookie flavor. Fun and yum. And the cookies were all crispy and chocolaty, and the ice cream had actual popcorn in it, which was like, mind blown! It’s sweet and salty and crunchy all at the same time, and I just can’t even with how yummy it looks.

Raspberry Cheesecake Ice Cream:

I had the Raspberry Cheese Ice Cream. Just a scoop, but wow. It’s got little bits of real cheesecake in it, and it’s all swirly with raspberry. It’s like having a slice of cheesecake but in ice cream form, and it was super duper delicious! Highly recommend this.

Oh ... I forgot to say, the people there were so nice.

All the people in Victoria were nice, but especially the people at the restaurant. 5/5 for friendliness.
